Today we will share the experience of Dr. Mohamed Sabagh to clear MRCP Part 1 and 2. We are thankful for providing guidelines.
You should start with the question not with reading the topic.
For example: Question about (side effects of corticosteroids) think about it firstly , then read the answer .If you feel that the answer& its explanation is enough for you , don’t read more.
If you don’t feel that, You can read more about the topic from kumar or Kalra or Oxford handbookof clinical medicine
I will explain my own experience.
1) MRCP part 1 :
I started with solving Passmedicine questions because its explanations are satisfactory, also I opened guideline links in it & read them & any part I didn’t understand it, I read it from Kumar.
After that I solved Onexamination questions.I studied for 5 months, 3-4 hours per day & I revised Passmedicine & Onexamination questions 3 times & I got a score of 75%.
So you should keep in your mind that,
- Onexamination is mandatory
- Passmedicine is mandatory
- Kumar or Kalra or oxford handbook any of them is helpful
Duration of Preparation for MRCP Part 1:
4 months are enough to pass MRCP Part 1.
2) MRCP Part 2:
I studied as part 1
Solving Passmedicine & Onexamination & Sharmabook
& photos from Google & atlas clinical medicine
In part 2,you should understand everything you study because it depends more on understanding & how you can understand the differential diagnosis.
Wish you Luck!
