About the Author

Dr Bhargava has completed his bachelors and masters of dental surgery (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) from Meenakshi Ammal Dental College & Hospital, Chennai. He was a distinction holder and gold medallist from The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University (Under-graduation) and Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education & Research, Chennai (Post-graduation). He has successfully completed the Diploma of Membership in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow. He holds postgraduate diploma in Hospital Management and Clinical Research. He is credited with introduction of twin-mix nerve blocks for mandibular anaesthesia. Currently he is serving as an associate professor and clinical consultant in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at People’s College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, People’s University, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. He has over 80 national and international scientific publications to his credit. He holds first ever Indian patent and a copyrighted surgical technique for the temporomandibular joint prosthesis. He has been awarded Ph.D. from Meenakshi University, Chennai for his acclaimed research on “Predictability and Feasibility of Total Alloplastic Temporomandibular Joint Reconstruction Using DARSN TM Joint Prosthesis for Patients in Indian subcontinent”.

Professor Bhargava completed his bachelor in dental surgery and masters in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital, Chennai, India.
